Could Climate Change create deadly, mutant sharks which kill us all?

By James Delingpole

It had to happen. As if the plight of the polar bear wasn’t punishment enough for our evil, selfish, refusing-to-change-our-lifestyle-because-we’re-addicted-to-oil ways, it now seems that Mother Gaia may have a deadly new weapon up her sleeve: KILLER MUTANT SHARKS!!! (H/T Brown Bess)

So far, admittedly, Mother Gaia is in the very earliest stages of her experimentation:

Scientists said on Tuesday that they had discovered the world’s first hybrid sharks in Australian waters, a potential sign the predators were adapting to cope with climate change.

OMG, they are surprised that two different breeds of shark mated. “We’ve never seen this before”. I mean come on! Just because they’ve never seen it before means that it could never happen? What a bunch of BS. And how did they come to the conclusion that this happened as a result of climate change? I think it was probably more a case of a couple of horny sharks got together and just did what comes naturally. Humans do it all the time! I think that is very racist attitude to believe that sharks should only mate with their own breed.

I laughed when I saw this post. Muskies and Northerns mate, Ooops, they are not supposed to do that! I doubt they read a book from the science community before they make their decision? What a joke.

Why the feined shock and/or outrage? It was/is a simple scientific report re: an unusual biologic occurrance, which appears to be possible due to changing water temps in that area of the planet. Some will attach global warming as a possible cause, others may not. I would conserve my energies for real issues, not just manufactured ones. But you all won’t, I know that.

It’s a simple scientific report. You don’t need to worry.
