You might think a journalist for the premier newspaper of the country might look into the funding of Mann and or his University for some answers. Lets find the motivation behind these people. Are the books open to the public at Penn State? Are they allowed to take anonymous donations? What are the rules for funding these studies? Who has taken the hit for the hockey stick? Apparently Mann is still selling his oil, it must have been swept under the rug well.

I agree, does that make a consensus? I think the trend will continue at least until August when the next green party in MEXICO fires up. Then the propaganda will begin to fly again.

I think Tim is an agw believer, if I remember right. Didn't he sign the 25% of energy must come from Green energy by 2015 bill into law? I may have the date wrong, but I know he signed some sort of clean energy bill that is already making Excel crazy.

I like the idea from the N. Dakota Rep. of stripping all power over global warming from the EPA. I can not believe it came from a Democrat though. They grow them different up there. How many people do you think would support that idea?

You know it's funny, I'm a trained killer, but I've never killed anyone. And I've never wanted to either. I was trained to kill with the M-16 A2, M203 grenade launcher, M60 and 50 cal. machine guns, 45 cal. pistol, LAW rocket, hand grenades, and bayonette. Let's not forget the claymore mine either. My point? Just because a man is trained to kill, does not make him a killer as you seem to infer above. And I've been pissed off plenty of times. Never once did I ever think about killing anyone. Other than what an awful thing it would be, of course. So I resent that remark.
As for the rest of your remarks I would say you probably have the same level of knowledge about those subjects as you do about Blackwater personnel, or their mission.

I have actually never seen a black helicopter. I only ever see the green ones flying in and out of Holeman field, or the life link air ambulances landing at United Hospital. Besides, all the black helicopters are now invisible!!

The thing about black helicopters is that we all see them. We just disagree about who's flying them.

Who said anything about a liberal conspiracy? I didn't. I have to go now because they're watching me, monitering my communications. Uh oh, I think I hear a black helicopter. Nope, it's white with a red stripe, whew!

The "true" liberals (or classical liberals) have gone over to the Republican party - a long time ago. The Democrats have become the party of power for the sake of it. The hodge podge coalition of special interest groups that drives the Democrat agenda have corrupted the party beyond recognition in the past 3 decades or so.

Those of us on the "right" put individual liberty first. Live and let live is the general rule. That's "liberal" in the classical sense. Fiscal responsibility in government, limited government intrusion in our lives and preservation of our rights are the tennents of conservatism.

True perhaps, Dan. I'm not a constitutional or any other kind of historian. Your point that we have somethings in common, or potentially in common, has been my point all along. Many Libs are becoming so frustrated and disappointed that some of us are ready to experiment with our so-called democracy, and the fact that many States seem to be dragging us down in one way or another, that something extreme like this idea is not so extreme for the general public as some may think. I beleive that if we (true Liberals and some on the Right) could leave aside certain differences we could become a powerful political bloc. But the powers that be know this all too well, and do many things to keep us apart.

That is what frustrates me the most, I think. And sites like these don't help. They could, but as currently configured they do just the opposite unfortunately. And you are guilty of that offense. It also seems that neither you nor many others with the resources to effect real positive change and solidarity choose not to. Same old sad story...

Glass always half-empty for ya, huh Neil? Another Dem goes over to the dark side (as if that's unusual) and you still believe in some kind of Liberal conspiracy. Is it just paranoia? What?

Rockefeller, as many Dems, is trying to save their own skin. Obama has putting them at the edge of a political clif. I will say that if they really want to do something usefull for USA they most impose a permanent moratorium for the half of all the regulations EPA has created since its existance.
