Posting Comments

GlobalClimateScam.com welcomes civil discussion of the articles presented here. There is no need to sign up or sign in to post comments, but there are a few simple rules for participation in the discussion here.

#1 Be civil. Personal insults directed at other commentators will be edited or deleted. Continued violation of this rule will result in suspension or permanent revocation of comment privileges (yes we can do this even without a login). This is a family-friendly blog. Please refrain from using profanity. If you have something of value to say, you can make your points in better ways.

#2 Be topical. Topics will drift, but please try to stay focused on discussing global warming. Stick to the issues and avoid making the discussion about personalities.

#3 Be respectful of other readers. Use punctuation, capitalize only where grammatically correct (PLEASE DO NOT POST ENTIRE COMMENTS IN ALL CAPS – IT’S VERY ANNOYING TO READ). Be concise in your comments. Long screeds are usually ignored by other blog readers, so you won’t make your point if you post a long rambling rant anyway. A good rule of thumb is to try to limit comments to no longer than the original article stub you are commenting on.

More information about posting comments at GlobalClimateScam.com

There is no need to log in to post comments here, but if you use the same email address for each visit, we will remember you. People posting a comment for the first time will find their comment held for moderation. After we review and approve it, the blog will remember your email address as a trusted commentator and your posts will be auto-approved immediately.

Hyperlinks

The blog will accept hyperlinks, but if too many are included in one comment, the system will hold your comment for moderation. Once it’s been checked by a moderator to confirm it isn’t spam, your comment with hyperlinks will be approved.

This blog employs automated anti-spam software which is very effective, but it occasionally makes a mistake. Blog moderators check for improperly flagged spam from time to time and approve the comments.

Avatars

If you upload a picture to Gravatar and associate it with the email address you use when posting comments, your Avatar image will be included in your posts. Gravatar is a great, free service that is recognized automatically by many blog sites.

We hope to foster a robust and civil discussion of the issue of global warming and the latest news and developments that pertain to it. Remember please be polite. Statements that begin with “you are a…” or variations on that theme are not productive or welcome here.
