Obama Fundraising with Missouri Stimulus Beneficiary

corruptionBy Alexander Burns

President Barack Obama will raise money in early October with a Missouri businessman whose company benefited from a $107 million federal tax credit to develop a wind power facility in his state.

Tom Carnahan, a scion of Missouri’s most prominent Democratic political family, is listed on Obama’s campaign website as a host of a $25,000-per-person fundraiser to be held in St. Louis on October 4.

His investment firm, Wind Capital Group, was helped by a sizable credit authorized in the stimulus, for an energy project in northwest Missouri.

Republicans argue that it’s inappropriate for the Obama campaign to raise money from a donor who has benefited directly from the Recovery Act.

Missouri Republican Party executive director Lloyd Smith compared the situation to the Solyndra affair, in which the Obama administration reportedly rushed federal support to a green-energy firm that subsequently collapsed.

This story is really illustrative of politics as usual. But it is important to recall that part of the “hope and change” promised by Obama was no more politics as usual. Which just goes to show you how easily people are fooled by a guy who can talk good.

Oh, we forgot. “Bush did it.” My God when will people see there is no “Change nor Hope?” If so, show me!

All I did was make a simple and valid rejoinder. Your hysterics are… boringly predictable, I guess. Obama is just another corporate and militarized leader, more or less, in a long line of them, and that which will continue into the future unless and until the American people revolt enmass. This revolution doesn’t necessarily need to be violent. Although parts of it, at least, will undoubtedly be so. Hopefully we will be smarter and better than that, unless of course some kind of “violence” is needed. What that might be I have no idea, and do not wish it. But all systems run their course, and ours is no exception.

Your comments, as usual are like a broken record. Let’s put it bluntly. If there is ever a revolt, simply watching the Wall Street people revolting, I see no physical opponents that causes me or others concern. My God, they eat better than I. Take their food and entitlements away and the revolt would be to the first convenient store with their debit card in hand and calling their trust fund Daddies to pick them up with their luie Vitone purses. Witnessed this in L.A. last week. Talked to three women, first thought it was a war protest, the second thought it was for “Whatever”, the third just wanted to be like “everyone else that was doing” it.” Even if they tried to be physical , there would be no problem. Had one come to me on Broadway where the “revolt” was and asked for $10.00 so she could go get a latte’ at Starbucks, now that peed me off!!! Remember, Obama started this alleged revolt by pitting some who work versus one’s that don’t. He doesn’t know what he is saying as well as the group I described. Class warfare compliments of our illustrious President that is to inspire us not divide us! Finally, there will always be approx. 4% plus unemployment due to people that simple deny working for a living. Check the previous 50 years unemployment. It has never changed.

And joe you say I “sound like a broken record”???? Wow. Way to spread the elitist’s drink lattes anecdote! Good job brother, have another glass o’Kool-aid. No class warfare comin’ from you, nosiree.

Did you check the statistics on unemployement over the last 50 years? No you didn’t. It will always be 4% unemployed with full employment. Review and let me know. Apparently you do not have the time to research, but time to post? That’s a contradiction isn’t it? What has this to do with “class warfare.”? Answer and simple question. Progressives bore me. They have no factual information other than snide remarks.
