I have said it before and I will say it again and again, check your checkbook balance before you pay your electric bill as well as others and compare. I hope you have “Depends!” Thanks “Joe”, we really needed that. Elected people that “Think what we need” just in case us paupers missed something? As if we don’t know what is happening? Can hardly wait for 2010!

The Democrats are NOT the “Liberals”! The Democrats are funded by the same corporations that fund the Republicans, and they also protect corporate profits as their first priority.

    Consider:

    1. They oppose a single-payer health care system.

    2. They voted for the wars and are continuing them.

    3. They enabled a fascist law-breaking administration to remain in control of the White House for 8 years.

    4. They helped the Republicans overturn the Constitution.

    5. They saddled working people with NAFTA and the WTO.

    6. They maintained laws (like Taft-Hartley) that prevent the formation of unions.

    7. They allowed media consolidation, which told us Iraq was planning a nuclear attack on the US.

    8. They maintain laws that inhibit non-corporate-funded parties.

    9. They voted for Bush’s fascist judges on the Supreme Court.

    10. They allowed the government to spy on us, and set a precedent that telecom companies that illegally did this weren’t charged with anything.

    11. They allowed our government to torture.

    12. They water down legislation to protect corporate profits, using the “bipartisan” excuse.

    13. They support corporations feeding us genetically-modified, inadequately tested “frankenfoods”, without even requiring a warning label.

    14. They continue to refuse to investigate the Bush Administration’s involvement in staging the 9/11 attacks.

These are all right-wing positions. The Democrats are in no way “leftists” or “liberals”!

For a real leftist party, see http://www.gp.org.

Man, have you got a problem.

  4. Rob N. Hood May 30, 2010 at 9:07 am #

    WE all HAVE a problem…

  5. Rob N. Hood May 31, 2010 at 8:12 pm #

This country NEEDS a second political party.

  6. paul wenum May 31, 2010 at 9:33 pm #

    Why don’t you run?

  7. Rob N. Hood June 3, 2010 at 8:37 am #

Much too tired. And anyway, as I’ve explained MANY times- the SYSTEM tht we have DOES NOT allow for anything other than the status quo. Thus it is a fools errand to even try.

The solution? A rebellion of some kind by the sheeple of the United States to CHANGE the political/electoral system. And there is MUCH info about what to put in its place by much smarter people than me. But I fear that it will take some kind of cataclysmic event- perhaps this oil gush tragedy might start to wake up the sheeple. But I doubt it- unfortuntately it will have to be something even worse than that, which is hard for even me to swallow, but the sheeple are well brain-washed and too busy keeping their heads above water- which is how the elite want them. Much easier to control them (us) that way.

None of this is rocket science and I pray for the day that the majority of the sheeple wake up and rise up against their oppression by the global elite.

I am disappointed I won’t be able to vote against you Rob. This bill needs to be shot down NOW! If it makes it to a vote before the election we are screwed. We need to get the message out now about how bad this bill is!

    • Dan McGrath June 4, 2010 at 10:01 am #

Actually, it would be better before the election when the Dems are still trying to get reelected. If it comes to a vote after the election, when there’s a bunch of lame ducks sitting there waiting for their Congressional careers to come to an end, it could be easier to pass. Some would have nothing left to lose at that point.

  9. paul wenum June 3, 2010 at 9:16 pm #

Hal, If this bill passes, I pray for the American public that has no idea what is forthcoming in the way of costs now and in the future. Maybe that’s why “Tipper” left Alfred???

  10. Rob N. Hood June 4, 2010 at 7:27 am #

Yes, let’s all praise Hal’s insight and biting intellect. Way to go Hal.

And Paul, why did you use quotations around Tipper’s name?? That is her NAME……!!!!!! Very odd, you ducks.

  11. paul wenum June 4, 2010 at 7:42 pm #

    That’s her name.

  12. Hal Groar June 5, 2010 at 9:51 pm #

I thought Tipper was a nickname she picked up a frat party in her college days. I don’t think it would come for a vote after the election and before all the swearing in. I may be wrong on this but I think when the Dems look deep down inside they know AGW is a crock, and I think they would not vote for it. They would only have themselves to face instead of the MSM robots they are trying to please to keep their power. Again, I could be very wrong on this, I may have too much faith in common sense.

  13. paul wenum June 5, 2010 at 11:41 pm #

Hal, I always believed in common sense until an attorney friend of mine told me 40 years ago that the law is not common sense, it is totally illogical. Never forgot that.

  14. Rob N. Hood June 7, 2010 at 3:54 pm #

You guys are illogical. Here’s a little lesson for you: “W” is a nickname… Tipper is a NAME, and to pretend otherwise is disrespectful and childish, not to mention the overt disrespect… And so Paul- you do not put in quotation someone’s name. You either meant disrespect, or you don’t know simple grammer. Cop to it, oh moral one…

Your apparent abandonment of common sense “40 years ago” helps to explain a lot. Thanks for sharing.

  15. paul wenum June 7, 2010 at 9:39 pm #

You are welcome my friend. At least I do not use foul language. If you take “Tipper” as disrespect is that any different than your rants and name calling against “Bush”, et al? I will use quotations again, “Get with the real world You have thin skin.” Typical question/negative statement from a young one that has never been there.

  16. Rob N. Hood June 9, 2010 at 3:55 pm #

Bush is his name… WTF?! You are saying I have thin skin??!! Alrighty then…

    • Rob N. Hood June 10, 2010 at 7:17 am #

      foul language??

  17. paul wenum June 9, 2010 at 9:55 pm #

If you didn’t you would never have commented/replied. You confirmed my statement my friend.

  18. Rob N. Hood June 10, 2010 at 3:00 pm #

Ah, yes, once again, I fell into one of Paul’s intellectual traps. Oops – now I’M projecting…

  19. paul wenum June 10, 2010 at 8:52 pm #

Do not call me “intellectual,” to me that is an insult and I sincerely mean that. I’m a simple man with simple thoughts and I state what I believe, right wrong or indifferent. I state whatever comes to mind when I believe it would affect my family as well as other Americans such as you. Wish more people would be more vocal.

  20. Rob N. Hood June 12, 2010 at 7:29 am #

No worries- I was being sarcastic.

Ok, so you “state what you believe.” So far so good. But then you usually add that it is the “Truth.” It is NOT the truth- it is what you believe, your opinion. Again that is fine- but to think it’s anything other than that is delusional.

There are plenty of vocal people all over the planet. That is not what we need more of, not in most cases. We need wisdom, compassion, tolerance, and understanding. LOVE THY NEIGHBOR. Don’t talk and “truth” him/her to death.

  21. paul wenum June 12, 2010 at 8:31 pm #

Let’s find a candidate that fits your last para. I would vote for he or she. That said, would have to see what is on their agenda. Candidates that have deep wisdom, tolerance etc. are rare. We don’t have that today.

  22. Rob N. Hood June 13, 2010 at 7:24 am #

But you plan on voting for them anyway? What is that if not delusion?

  23. paul wenum June 13, 2010 at 10:43 pm #

It’s called making choices as you and others did with your “Excellent Leader.” Damn, wish I could be a Czar. Oops. that was circa 1913 or thereabouts???

  24. Rob N. Hood June 14, 2010 at 2:25 pm #

So you want to be a dictator? why? You had one for 8 long years.

Yes I voted for Obama. I’ve stated that before, and also that I’m very disappointed. Enough so that I will probably never vote for another Dem for Pres. Satisfied, yet, oh smug one?

Eventually I will probably stop voting altogther, except for locally, because to do so is just another form of insanity, an exercise in futility. Some day you too may wake up and realize this.

  25. paul wenum June 15, 2010 at 9:18 pm #

Chavez would love your mind set. That’s what happens in third world countries when the general population has no trust in their elected officials whom the “Legally” elect. At least here we do. My God, I can see it coming now. Gore V Bush et al. Give us a break please. Hugo’s waiting for your entry papers. He will even personally stamp your passport like Sean Penn and others!

  26. Rob N. Hood June 16, 2010 at 7:46 am #

We all now live in a third world country. A coup occurred in 2000. You are just too deaf and blind to know it. Wake up and see the writing on the wall.

  27. paul wenum June 17, 2010 at 12:09 am #

Just who is the “Head” of our alleged “Third World Country?” A Democrat called Obama. Bush isn’t President anymore. Do you understand or are you “delusional?” You seem to be in a time warp circa 2000. Typical Gore lover. Still have a bumper sticker do ya??? Bet you do as well as a poster. Never changes.

  28. Rob N. Hood June 18, 2010 at 7:14 am #

You apparently have a short term memory problem. I’ve been posting the answer to your “question” above from day one. Or is just that you don’t like the answer- in that it is too threatening to your mindset of what you think reality is? That can be a very threatening feeling. You need to get beyond that fear, otherwise you will never see things the way they really are.

  29. Rob N. Hood June 18, 2010 at 7:17 am #

Sorry- the first real coup that occurred at least in “modern” times was when the elite had JFK murdered publically. The coup in 2000 was bloodless. They simply do what the gotta do. A lot is enough for them, they have to have more, like vampires I guess.

  30. paul wenum June 20, 2010 at 10:25 pm #

Dribble is as dribble will be.

  31. Rob N. Hood June 21, 2010 at 12:27 pm #

    It’s drivel, not dribble. Sheesh.

And yes, Obama is an elite and stooge for corporate power like all the rest of the crooks and liars, which includes of course 95% of all the current and recent past elected Republican and Democrats. And yes I voted for Obama and was fooled like many others were. We cast our vote for change and hope for a better America. We were fooled and are angry and many of us probably won’t vote for him again, unless he sheds his corporate chains of corruption and becomes the Liberal we all voted for. This is very unlikely, of course, so the evil Repubs have another chance at winning political power in 2010 and 12. It doesn’t matter anymore though- they’re all the same now. They are all corrupt to the core. Prostitutes, basically, for the corporatist status quo.

And message to Dan: PLEASE don’t post anymore pictures of Lieberman…!!!! Makes me nauseous.

He kind of reminds me of Yoda, but without all the wisdom.
