Global Warming Skeptic Buries Sierra Club Director under Avalanche of Facts

Climate Depot's Marc MoranoBy Brendan Bordelon –

Marc Morano, a global warming skeptic and the editor of ClimateDepot.com, fought the climate sob stories peddled by Sierra Club Director Michael Brune with cold, hard facts on CNN Tuesday night.

“‘Global weirding’ is nothing more than a pseudoscience expression,” he said on Don Lemon’s “11th Hour,” pushing back against Lemon’s contention that the “extreme” cold weather wracking much of the country is a symptom of climate change.

“So record cold is now evidence of man-made global warming,” Morano said sarcastically. “What evidence would disprove climate change? It seems that no matter the weather, everything that happens proves it.”

Global dumbing. If the Sun had a sense of humor it would be pissing itself laughing at these guys trying to reconcile global warming with snow in Egypt.

Funny, California cities such as Fresno and Bakersfield are having the warmest Winter days on record. Look it up. You’ll find more real facts.

Ok, so Fresno and Bakersfield are having their warmest winter days on record, I’ll take your word for it. And…. so…. What? Is that supposed to speak to what is happening to the entire planet’s climate?

Its funny you say that because most scientist say that climate change as nothing to do with the weather , weird hey ?, not sure what to make of it , i do not that the ice shelf as never been larger in Antarctica, and Wits University scientists have said that despite predictions, tropical storms are not increasing in number.

looking at data for the south-west Indian Ocean over the past 161 years, Fitchett and co-author Professor Stefan Grab, also from GAES, confirmed the results of previous studies which have found that there has been no increase in the number of tropical cyclones.

i meant to say i do know, not , i do not, error in grammar sorry .

Elgin, nice attempt at trying to detract from the fact that the Earth is beginng a cooling cycle. Here is some data and FACTS for you and All Gore to ponder over:

Arctic blast dropping temperatures in U.S. to lows not seen in years By Mariano Castillo. AnneClaire Stapleton and Ben Brumfield, CNN updated 12:08 AM EST, Sun January 5, 2014
(CNN) — Get ready for bone-chilling cold you probably haven’t endured in years.

A deep freeze is spreading across much of the United States this weekend, making the nor’easter that just blanketed about 20 states with snow look like a mere curtain raiser.

8 tips to ease winter travel woes

Sunday temperatures are expected to hit 30 degrees below zero in North Dakota and other sections of the Plains and Midwest; the wind chill will make it feel like minus 50, the National Weather Service said.

By Wednesday, nearly half the nation — 140 million people — will shiver in temperatures of zero or lower.

The arctic blast threatens to sweep subzero lows as far south as Alabama and plunge much of the Deep South into the single digits.

    Northeast prepares as nor’easter looms
Winter weather in the past week has claimed at least 13 lives, CNN has confirmed.

    Opening act

The cold blast burst onto the stage in the Northern Plains States early Saturday, hurling North Dakota into below-zero territory.

Minnesota has already closed schools on Monday.

“I have made this decision to protect all our children from the dangerously cold temperatures,” Gov. Mark Dayton said.

People in the town of town of Embarrass, Minnesota, say they may break their cold temperature record of 64 below, set in 1996.
Chicago native Leo Londono, 30, said this is the harshest winter he’s experienced in the city. From his apartment, he can see large chunks of ice floating on Lake Michigan.

Sunday night in Chicago will see a shivering 16 to 20 below zero and — once you factor in the Windy City’s stiff breeze — a chill of 35 below to 45 below zero.

As the arctic cold conquers about half of the continental United States, temperatures are forecast to dip into the minus teens through the lower Midwest. Snow will cover swaths from the Plains to the Ohio and Mississippi River Valleys, all the way to New England.

Parts of the Midwest could see temperatures not recorded in 15 to 20 years — for a painful couple of days.

Even areas as far south as Nashville could be frozen solid in zero-degree cold as the arctic air mass dives southward at the beginning of next week.

So I’ll see your 2 cities wrming up in California and raise you half the nation setting record cold temperatures…. Global Weirdo.

PROPAGANDA: Global Warming Caused the Rise in Hurricane Activity.

FACT: 2013 was the slowest and weakest hurricane season in three decades.

      http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories2013/20131125_endofhurricaneseason.html

PROPAGANDA: The increase and severity of storm activity all over the planet is caused by ocean surface temperature rise, a result of Global Warming.

FACT: Through the last century and a half, beginning after the rise of the industrial revolution with its steadily increasing CO2 and pollution levels, hurricanes occurred with decreasing frequency and decreasing intensity.

      http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/pastdec.shtml

PROPAGANDA: The earth was born a rotating ball of liquid wherein its steady climate of moderate temperatures of a Petri Dish medium various forms of life evolved.

FACT. Less than two billion years ago a solid ball of ice, otherwise known as our planet, was rotating around the sun, a massive, nuclear heat source.

      http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2010/03/100304-snowball-earth-ice-global-warming/

      Then Global Warming began.

PROPAGANDA: The American Indian lived across the plains and valleys of the American continent, hunted and fished for over ten thousand years.

FACT. Ten thousand years ago there was an ice sheet covering the New York metropolitan region a mile high.

      Then global warming began.

      http://www.geo.hunter.cuny.edu/bight/coast.html

FACT. Since the ice sheets had melted, sea levels rose 400 feet. Before that, when the planet froze, water levels dropped 400 feet. Since the industrial revolution began, sea levels rose a few inches.

      http://www.geo.hunter.cuny.edu/bight/coast.html

FACT. Not a single one of the “theories” and “models” proposed by the IPCC’s global warming proponents and Cap&Trade tax fans to transfer America’s wealth to the Third World had panned out. Moreover, reluctantly, the IPCC had to revise their estimates in light of the now documented fact that the globe has been experiencing a cooling trend for almost two decades.

      http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=ipcc-revises-climate-sensitivity

FACT: CO2 levels rose dramatically before man stepped on earth. Recently and far less dramatically after the industrial revolution, and specifically during the last two decades, heat has fallen or stabilized and CO2 levels had continued to rise.

Took a while to get back to you. California is having its warmest summer ever. Yes, the weather and the climate are related.

    • Neilio July 23, 2014 at 5:05 am #

Ok, so anytime there is cooling anywhere, the weather and climate are not related. But when it gets hot anywhere, the weather and climate are related.
Great! Thanks for that. That makes things clear as mud.
