The 11 Other Solyndras

By Doug Powers

Yesterday there was another White House document dump regarding Solyndra’s bankruptcy filing just after the 2010 elections. While Solyndra is the crown jewel in the Department of Energy’s “you can’t make a green omelette without breaking a few hundred million taxpayer eggs” trial-and-error initiative, there are many other examples.

CBS News’ Sharyl Attkisson — who was one of the first reporters on the Solyndra trail — featured 11 other DoE loan recipients that either have or probably will take a Solyndra-style plunge and suck down $6.5 billion of taxpayer loans with them.

I like your comment. Flush the “Turtleheads” down!

I’m having a hard time grasping the fact that this was actually reported by CBS. Probably just a random act of journalism.

Maybe they have seen the light? Hopefully not a freight train coming our way, eh?

Subjective statement that can be read either way.

Wow… jaw slamming onto floor… Joe- I don’t know how to respond to such a statement. It’s so odd… I guess that’s all I got. Except for this:

The GOP Presidential candidates continue to play their parts in an implausible story of a world that could never exist, acting out nonexistent conflicts while delivering dialog that insults the intelligence. That’s not because they’re stupid. It’s because they think you are.

The National Defense Authorization Bill that President Obama signed into law at least met some resistance.

There was a letter from 40 Congressman opposing the wording that takes away our freedoms of due process regarding arrests and imprisonment.

All names on this letter were Democrats!

I have heard Rand Paul has expressed his opposition, but where are the Republicans on this issue?

Who needs martial law, when you can call any citizen a terrorist and slap them in prison? Hello “Libertarians”…

You voted the fool in. Don’t condemn the NDAA when Obama signed off on it. You get what you vote for remenber. Ooops, the Dems control the Senate don’t they. I forgot that important part, did you? I’m sure you did by accident? Minor error I assume?

Why do you love red herring so much? Rightys seem to ingest and excrete nothing else. I hope to say this ONE LAST TIME. Obama has turned out to be just another elite loving messenger boy, just as all our Presidents have been since the elite sent JFK a message he couldn’t refuse. And their P.S. was RFK and MLK.

It is pretty clear to many people that the legal system, its class laws, reflect the rot of the class system itself. In stable times, during the crippling class process of class deformed democracies and republics, the law is selectively enforced to reflect the interests of class power. When the class system is in crisis and the class laws and justice system stand exposed as totalitarians, duplicitous, corrupt, the rule of laws are themselves abandoned, trashed, for a police state and FASCISM.

All three branches of government have been complicit in the destruction of the rule of laws, giving police fascist power to the executive at every turn, thereby enabling the NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT , NDAAA, which gave Obama the permission by Congress to negate the CONSTITUTION, BILL OF RIGHTS, and allow the WEIMAR LIBERALS, to give the fascist republicans the right to use FASCIST ENABLING LAWS, to impose their dictatorship, in the same legal manner , HITLER, used the Weimar emergency laws to impose his Fascist, Capitalist Police State.

And don’t even think a Repub Prez would do any different. Remember the Bush’s Patriot Act? How soon we forget… They are ALL taking us to a fascist police State. We are practically there already. You frogs feeling warm yet?!

Please enlighten us as to how you would solve your obvious problem with authority?

  13. Rob N. Hood February 3, 2012 at 11:57 am #

Not voting is one way, to start, anyway. Voting third party another. Election reform another. True democracy another. More real freedoms another. Less jail time for non-violent offenders another. More accountability for the more powerful among us another (real justice). Fewer wars or no wars is another. Less money and power given to the MIC another. In other words the list could be endless.

No detail nor specifics. Dreams with no substance. Deal in reality. You will then wake up from your dream world. Reality is a wonderful thing if you know how to handle/deal with it.

  15. Rob N. Hood February 7, 2012 at 8:23 am #

Wow- my post above is pretty detailed, in this reality anyway. If you would truly like more detail than that I suggest you turn off Fox (maybe even all TV) and start reading and paying attention to other things besides the moldy propaganda you seem to live off of. How would you solve the problem with authority oh wise one? Please feel free to use details etc.

    Oh Wise one?

  17. Rob N. Hood February 8, 2012 at 12:50 pm #

    Oh well…

Here’s another “stink bomb”: As applied by fascist regimes in the past, “voter ID” type initiatives defined the sanctioning of actions taken against not only the Jews, but also the homeless (gypsies), the destitute (powerless), and incrementally with the passing of time, against religious minorities, unionists, “political enemies”, gays, artists, the physically handicapped and many others, who were considered to be “socially unacceptable”. It’s a fascist road- no two ways about it. It’s the same mentality and quasi-reasoning to fulfill bully instincts or worse. Disinfranchisement is the Opposite of freedom, and the American Way. Shame on you Dan, and everyone like you.

Your baiting posts are off-topic. Take them over to http://www.wewantvoterid.com I’ve warned you about this before.

  20. Rob N. Hood February 9, 2012 at 4:02 pm #

I commend you for leaving my stuff in. And I also think I know why you do, but that is neither here nor there. It all boils down to right/wrong, the stuff we were taught in kindergarten. I realize that you may not be a bad person Dan, but your actions and work is NOT right, it is NOT related in any way to freedom or what America has stood for. The America we all still believe in and feel strongly about is slipping away, and when it goes it will be very difficult if not impossible to get back. I hope you know what you are doing and can live with it, because I sure couldn’t.

  21. Rob N. Hood February 14, 2012 at 3:34 pm #

So I did that, and you mock me for it…?! (elsewhere on this site). Says more about you than me. Not surprised…

  22. Rob N. Hood March 11, 2012 at 5:08 pm #

And Dan has banned me from that other website. Which is funny because I am one of the very few who post there. Of course I’m not for voter ID so…..
