The War on Humans

Documentary by Wesley J. Smith

“Are humans the enemy? Should pigs and peas have constitutional rights? The War on Humans is a 31-minute documentary that critiques growing efforts to disparage the value of humans in the name of saving the planet. The documentary investigates the views of anti-human activists who want to grant legal rights to animals, plants, and “Mother Earth,” and who want to reduce the human population by up to 90%. The video features Discovery Institute Senior Fellow Wesley J. Smith, author of a companion e-book with the same title.

According to Smith, if the anti-human activists have their way, it will be the end of civilized society as we know it. Valuable natural resources from oil to land could be placed permanently off limits for human use. Farmers could be held criminally liable for plowing new fields if it caused the deaths of rodents, snakes, and even weeds. Hydroelectric projects to bring power to villages in Africa could be shut down because they violated the right of rivers to run freely.”

In the debate on anthropogenic global warming, The War on Humans is somewhat tangential, but the connection to some sects of global warming boosters is plain. Smith has put together a well-made and compelling short documentary about the origins and aims of anti-human environmental radicals.

Solving Global Warming is a Bad Idea

We know that the poorer people are the more children they tend to have. We also know that “solving” global warming would require an 80% reduction in co2 emissions. Lastly, we know that any reduction in co2 of…

I tried reading this Ben, but I must be honest, I thought your logic in your post that you posted here from another blog was pretty twisted. And that’s being kind.
I’ll just address two things in this that you obviously don’t get.

      1. “Why do conservatives feel the need to claim its a hoax?”

As a Conservative I can tell you that it’s not a “need” to claim it’s a hoax. For me, it was a matter of checking facts. I didn’t just wake up one day and say “Hmm, I think I’ll call AGW a hoax because I want to be a contrarian today!”
No, my stance on AGW evolved over time by looking at claims made by alarmists and asking questions about them, doing research on facts claimed, and finding out that most of them fall far short of being true. And it’s not a hoax in the traditional sense where a scammer is trying to separate you from your money. It is that too, but the main goal is to gain control of practically every facet of life. They want to remove your choices for where to live, what you eat, what you drive, where you can travel, and how you travel. How to live, how to care for yourself, and what to think, practically everything.

      2. “Now some liberals might say, ‘well then we have to control birth rates.’ Really? What happened to womens reproductive rights?”

What happened to Women’s reproductive rights? Are you serious? You do know that to a Progressive, “Women’s reproductive rights” means one thing, and one thing only, and that is the right to terminate a pregnancy. “Woman’s reproductive rights” is code for abortion, which is population control! Pull your head out of your posterior.
