There is no scientific evidence that human activity is causing the planet to warm, according to Greenpeace co-founder Patrick Moore, who testified in front of a Senate committee on Tuesday.
Moore argued that the current argument that the burning of fossil fuels is driving global warming over the past century lacks scientific evidence. He added that the Earth is in an unusually cold period and some warming would be a good thing.
“There is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth’s atmosphere over the past 100 years,” according to Moore’s prepared testimony. “Today, we live in an unusually cold period in the history of life on earth and there is no reason to believe that a warmer climate would be anything but beneficial for humans and the majority of other species.”
I am so tired of hearing the 97% of scientists agree line. I’m referring to what the greenpeace guy from England was quoted saying in this piece. Every time I hear it I just cringe. It is just so not true. It makes me think of certain things religious people assert, (I don’t want to offend religious people, but I don’t follow any religion), it is a belief, it is not an established fact. The believers in the religion of global warming trot out this line every time they want to avoid a debate, which is about 99.9% of the time. They may as well start saying It is written in the holy book by God himself that 97% of the world’s scientists agree that global warming is manmade.
I’m tired of it because it is used as an excuse to not listen to opposing views!
You can show them any fact that undermines the IPCC position but they will not listen because it is heresy!
I don’t want to pick on Christians, but I was raised in a Catholic family so it is a religion I am familiar with. But try to tell a Christian that there is no evidence of Jesus walking on water, turning water into wine, causing the blind to see, or rising from the dead. You will get the same reaction that Pat Moore gets when he points out certain facts.
Please Christians don’t get in an uproar, I am just making a comparison.
The difference is that the people like Christians who believe in a religion may get a little overzealous in trying to save my soul at times, but they are not trying to completely control every aspect of my life by telling me what I can drive, what to eat, what to think, where to live, how to travel, how many children I should have, etc., through the force of law. Based on a belief that is said to be scientific fact when it is demonstrably not fact.
I’m just so tired of it.
Climate change is a natural thing, we humans are just pushing along something that is coming naturally.
The socialists and their global warming fraud are absolutely evil people. These are not mistaken nice people, these are hard core control every aspect of your life dictators.
there is no compromise with these tyrants….they would make all private property (except their own ) illegal and seize it in the name of Gaia…
The answer is really simple. He’s not the co founder of Greenpeace.
