Is Global Warming Causing A Record Breaking Lack Of Tornado Activity?

By James Taylor

The year 2012 is breaking all-time records for lack of tornado activity, inviting the question whether global warming is causing a long-term decline in destructive extreme weather events.

According the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, only 12 tornadoes touched down in the United States during July 2012, shattering the previous July record low of 42 tornadoes recorded in 1960. Because radar technology in 1960 could not detect many of the smaller tornadoes that are detectable today, scientists believe the actual number of tornadoes that occurred in the previous record-low July 1960 was actually about 73. Accordingly, six times more tornadoes occurred in July 1960, the previous record-low year, than occurred in July 2012.

Is there really no one that wants to comment on anything? Or is it that RNH and I arguing all the time represented 90% of the comments here in the last 5 years or so? RNH seems to think that nobody is commenting because my posts are lame, but if that were true wouldn’t you all tell me how much you think I suck? For a while I was starting to think that maybe he was right, and that I’m lame and I have everyone navigating away at full yawn. But then I think if there were another poster on this site (not me) and I thought they sucked, I would say so. And everyone else would too I think. So that just leaves just one reason why there is so little traffic here now, and that is because nobody cares about global warming anymore! That my friends is actually good news.

  2. Joe September 1, 2012 at 12:16 am #

You, Neilio are correct. It is not that nobody cares, our minds have been made firm from your posts as well as your links, our observations and the absurdity of comments made by the opposing parties reaffirms my opinion. On this site time has passed as others and Dan has other duties more pressing to attend to at this time of need for our dear country.

Life goes on My friend. Suggest you use your time on educating school children with the knowledge that you have instead of the constant banter with this non-entity called Hood as well as others. Trust me, your life will be more rewarding. Go forth and inform others and keep us posted, (we check in on occasion). Take care.

I just want to thank everyone that has posted here, and all the people who have visisted here as well. I think it’s over, I really do, and for the most part we have won. Oh, shure there will be the loud cries from the true believers of coming catastrophe from time to time, but I really think it’s at the point now that the Chicken Little’s “the sky is falling” bit isn’t going over anymore. Of course I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand I am glad it’s fizzling out, but on the other I was looking forward to posting stories and reading reactions to them. But I think it’s just bad timing that I started posting stories right when interest in the subject has fallen through the floor. This is not the end of GCS, but I think I am going to hang it up, for a while anyway. Until I see an uptick in interest, I will hold off on posting more stories. See you around folks!

    Neillio,

You gave it your all and kept in there through thick and thin and for that I deeply respect you. Yes, it is over, or is it? That said their will be ongoing swipes at the “deniers” So what’s new?

Our focus must now be on the upcoming electiion, more so than most understand or realize. Keep life in perspective is all I can say.

Take care my friend. It has been n extreme pleasure reading your posts over the years. As I say, “Onward and upward.!”

Now it is time to get this Republic back in good order!

Hallelujah! Yes! God, I hope he’s gone soon. And all his goons, too.

I havent posted anything because 1. I just now found this site and, 2. I cant understand what anyone is talking about when they’re talking global warming, anyway!

But I do know a little about tornadoes, just living about 150 miles away from Joplin….. Ive concluded that we didnt have any tornadoes this year because we had them all last year! Thank you God, for not allowing us to go through another year like that!

        • NEILIO September 26, 2012 at 5:42 am #

That is unusual. Most people who are skeptical of anthropogenic global warming tend to be much better informed about the science behind it than your average victim of the fearmongers. It’s not really all that complicated. Warmists claim that the Earth is warming at an alarming rate as a direct result of carbon dioxide emissions produced by Man. They have created various scary scenarios via computer models, and want us to basically get rid of our society as we know it, (which I suspect was their goal from the get go.) Skeptics, on the other hand, look at facts, and observations like temperature records and averages, and the results of warmist predictions and see that the scary scenarios are not developing, and that just about every prediction ever made by the warmists has failed to materialize. For example, a major prediction by scientists at NASA’s GISS back in 2007 predicted that the Artic would be nearly ice free by the summer of 2012. Well the autumnal equinox just occured on Sept 22, which marks the end of summer, and guess what? The Arctic was not nearly ice free! They were wrong. But you didn’t hear that trumpeted on the nightly news now did you.

As if to illustrate my point, look at this story out of the UK.

    http://uk.reuters.com/article/2012/09/05/uk-britain-shale-minister-idUKBRE8840I320120905

“Britain sent a clear signal of support to its oil and gas industry when it named an advocate of shale gas fracking as environment minister and a wind farm sceptic as energy minister.”

More good news for your side! *it nevers ends for your side*

Shell has paid the U.S. $2.8 billion for lease rights to areas in the Chukchi and neighboring Beaufort Sea, and the U.S. estimates those waters hold 26 billion barrels of recoverable oil and 130 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.

On Aug. 30, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar announced that Shell, even though its spill response barge was not yet certified by the Coast Guard, would be permitted to drill pilot holes and then dig what’s called a cellar to hold a critical safety device.

The pilot holes will be 1,300 feet below the ocean floor and roughly 4,000 feet above a known petroleum reservoir.

Neilio, I assumed and was correct that this Hood fellow would miraculiously appear at the end and as usual, he did. Always remember, for every action there is a reaction. No reaction? no comeback absent shrill comments as Hood posted. Yes, Hood can now “get off this little merry go ’round of fools.” He apparently looked into a mirror and found the enemy and it was sobering looking directly into his own eyes. Life never changes, just like climate change which is never ending and will constantly change on a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly basis. Never ending in scope nor predictable.

Enjoy your new free time and hope you enjoy the “sun light” my friend. Lay back enjoy and if it may get warmer in October by a tenth of a degree? Who cares? At least you do not have to shovel snow, we hope?

“RECORD BREAKING LACK OF TORNADO ACTIVITY”
Who said there couldn’t be fewer tornadoes with global warming?
We don’t know WHAT effect it will have, which is why many of us would prefer to cut back on carbon emissions so we know what we will be dealing with rather than dealing with complete unknowns. Call us Luddites. No doubt people will figure out how to live with the changes, even make money off the changes, but no doubt also many will die as weather patterns change, and it may be us, depending.
Of course there is global warming and human activities are a direct cause. [Comment deleted by moderator.]

The Dunning-Kruger effect states that unskilled individuals are likely to suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than average. Conversely, those who are highly competent may have feelings of inferiority, because they believe everybody else has the same competency that they do.

    According to Charles Darwin:

“Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge.”

It turns out that he was far more correct than many of us would like to admit.

In some recent research (2008), Dunning & Kruger asserted that individuals who were most likely to suffer from illusory superiority were those who were disinclined to receive feedback from others on their performance. Blocking out of any critiques allowed them to create a sense of accomplishment that wasn’t necessarily true.

    • NEILIO September 12, 2012 at 5:36 pm #

“It’s knowing that there are things you don’t know that you don’t know. [4] Donald Rumsfeld gave this speech about “unknown unknowns.” It goes something like this: “There are things we know we know about terrorism. There are things we know we don’t know. And there are things that are unknown unknowns. We don’t know that we don’t know.” He got a lot of grief for that. And I thought, “That’s the smartest and most modest thing I’ve heard in a year.” -David Dunning.

I know you can’t be describing me. How many times have I said that there are factors that we don’t know anything about yet?

      • NEILIO September 13, 2012 at 5:41 pm #

Sorry RNH, I forgot that I’m too stupid to realize that I am too stupid to respond to your failed attempt to insult us deniers. But you know, I like the theory. It describes Joe Biden, John Kerry, and Eyeore to a tee.

        • NEILIO September 16, 2012 at 7:32 am #

“Conversely, those who are highly competent may have feelings of inferiority, because they believe everybody else has the same competency that they do.”
At any rate, this does not describe you at all!!!!!!

      • Rob N. Hood September 17, 2012 at 11:21 am #

Is that why you remain so open-minded? So free from rigid demagagory? Dunning may have been impressed by that fairly usual circular “logic” of Rummy but most everyone else laughed at his inanity. But of course you are an admirer of Rumdum. Hitler had admirers too, doon’t forget that. So did W, and Cheney, and, Hess, and Stalin, and…

        • NEILIO September 17, 2012 at 6:24 pm #

Yes, everyone did laugh at him, well I didn’t, but see the thing is…………. he was correct. There are things that we don’t know that we don’t know. Are there not? That includes climate science as well. What is it that bothers you so much about us that you can’t stay away and not make your snide comments? When is the last time you made a point about climate science? Why do you always attack us on ideologic, and political vectors? I really do not understand why you persist.

          • Rob N. Hood September 18, 2012 at 8:21 am #

Once again- you brought up Rumdum, not me.

          • NEILIO September 18, 2012 at 2:27 pm #

Actually you did by introducing the Dunning -Kruger effect. Because of that I found the quote from Dunning that was shure to give you heartburn. So you initiated it at any rate.

  14. Joe September 14, 2012 at 11:16 pm #

Mr. Hood, I could not sit by and not make a comment. You seem to be a person of purpose with intent well know. Know quite a few like you that chastise others with limited facts or no fact checking behind them demeaning others. There are yet fixed facts on climate change and we all know it. A Climate change comment made as an individual “unskilled” or those “highly competent” is a condescending statement. Suggest you re-read your statement.

In other words, if you do manual labor 12-16 hours a week we are “unskilled” and must leave all to the “highly competent” as you, our Dear Leader Obama, Chu, Hansen, et al. Correct??? Can hardly wait until November 6th! I sincerely believe our republic needs a fresh approach to reality. Not a hollywood wannabe elitist that tells you whatever you wish to hear for a pricy donation. I personally eschew two faced politicians. Be they progressives, (what an oximoron) or the extreme right-wing. ( By the way, the KKK was progressive/Dems ) check the facts. Enough said.

    • NEILIO September 18, 2012 at 2:30 pm #

You can assume all you want, it just makes and a$$ of, well, you. It could have been referring to anyone, as you obviously pointed out by applying it to Gore, myself, e.g. You should have thanked me for that post- instead the normal wingnut attack first, rationalize later… And you still haven’t responded to the question of your on-going use and reliance on hypocrisy as some kind of mental crutch and/or flaw. To become better respected and intellectually credible I would have thought you would have put a little work into that by now. It can be over-come, if you put a little effort into it.

    Hood, may I comment?

Unfortunately you really “Don’t see” do you.

As for Neilio? Man, you are an “Energizer Bunny” and you are always on point and a wonder to follow. Please don’t get wrapped up in squabbles with Hood that are meaningless. It is a waste of your time as well as others. Hood has made his case and verse well know for years and will never change.

Just checking into this site on occasion to see that nothing has changed including climate which is the same. (Climate changes daily and always has and will)

    Have a good evening Neilio!

  22. Rob N. Hood September 21, 2012 at 6:55 am #

That’s it- rationalize it away, and you feel so much better. Ahhhh. Ignorance (about oneself) is bliss…

Is it I who doesn’t see? Really? Not only won’t some people see, but they don’t hear either. Or listen. And they never will. Oh well, in another lifetime perhaps, or a few thousand. You’ll get there eventually. In the meantime the further evolved are tested with great frustration at our lower evolved brethren.

    • NEILIO September 21, 2012 at 4:40 pm #

A question for you. If you had a choice between ridding the world of one of the following, which would it be?
      A: Islamic terrorists.
      B:Conservative/Republicans.

  23. Rob N Hood September 22, 2012 at 2:49 pm #

“A” of course (although it is a trick question of some sort for you I’m sure, but I don’t care, I will respond anyway). I don’t have a problem with “B” as they exist and existed traditionally. It’s the extremists who are dangerous (e.g. Autralian PM’s recent comments re: American rightwing extremism). The extremists on the Right in this country share a lot in common with “A” actually. I always answer your questions. Why is it you don’t always answer mine?

    • NEILIO September 22, 2012 at 3:03 pm #

Ok. Give me an example of your idea of a right wing extremist. And why do you think they are extreme?

  24. Rob N Hood September 22, 2012 at 5:31 pm #

I’ve done that here for a loooong time- and if you don’t know that or want to pretend I have not done so, much to your constant chagrin I might add, then you have an even greater personality problem than I suspected. And I thought we were supposed to stick to global warming/climate change….?

    • NEILIO September 22, 2012 at 7:08 pm #

Well, the last time I asked a similar question, I got a similar answer. Translated into reality: You are just mouthing liberal talking points and really have no idea who is considered an extremist, other than who buzzflash says in an extremist, or why you think they are extreme. And since when have you stuck to global warming and climate change?

  25. Rob N Hood September 22, 2012 at 7:21 pm #

Can you not read and comprehend simple English? Gotta contradict Everything I post? Is that still how you get your jollies? You do have problems, but it has nothing much to do with me. And lastly- I was merely reminding you of which you often deemed important enough to remind me, whilst dripping with condescension- the true and hallowed purpose of this site. I love irony, obviously, but it’s your hypocrisy that I can’t stand.

    • NEILIO September 22, 2012 at 8:21 pm #

You are such a fraud. Liar too. What is the most frustrating about you is that you always proceed as if you have the upper hand, yet you have always lost every argument. You are delusional and sanctamonius, and you have no clue of what reality is. You claim to have answered questions that you have never answered and you talk down to me as if you hold the higher ground when you are sinking deeper and deeper into the quicksand of your own delusions. I feel sorry for you, not because you are wrong about everything but because you can’t see that you are wrong about anything. I contradict everything you post, not because I have to contradict everything you post. It’s because the facts contradict everything you post. You have never once backed up anything you have said with any facts. When pressed you hem and haw and claim I’m a hypocrite or what have you. You are evasive, and illogical, yet you swear up and down that it is the other way around that you are on point, and logical. I always ask you why you are here, and I ask myself too why you are here. There is no logical explaination why other than that you are insane. Well, it’s either that, or you really are a team of individuals tasked by some left-wing think tank or other entity to throw a wrench into the gears of a highly effective website that differs from it’s point of view. I liked it better when you wern’t posting for a while. It was a nice break.

      • Rob N Hood September 23, 2012 at 8:25 pm #

Fraud AND a liar?! I do declare! If I had a glove I’d lightly slap it across your pasty face and challenge you, sir, to a duel at daybreak. Lucky for you- no glove.

An observer of the right-wing phenomenon must explain the paradox of followers who would escape from freedom even as they incessantly invoke the word freedom as if it were a mantra. But freedom so defined does not mean ordinary civil liberties like the prohibition of illegal government search and seizure, the right of due process, or the right not to be tortured. The hard right has never protested the de facto abrogation of much of the Bill of Rights during the last decade. In the right-wing id, freedom is the emotional release that a hostile and psychologically repressed person feels when he is finally able to lash out at the objects of his resentment. Freedom is his prerogative to rid himself of people who are different, or who unsettle him. Freedom is merging into a like-minded herd. Right-wing alchemy transforms freedom into authoritarianism.

I don’t share Lofgren’s opinion, but aside from that what does this have to do with climate change? Speaking of opinions, do you have one of your own?

  27. Joe September 22, 2012 at 11:34 pm #

    Nice comeback Neilio.

You are on point. Can never argue a negative with a negative. Hood is, in my humble opinion, a left wing plant. Pure and simple and no need to go further. Simply checking in. Love the banter with nothing accomplished. Especially by this Hood entity whomever he may be other than a plant. Sour grape I assume? Nice response. Keep us posted.

  28. Rob N Hood September 23, 2012 at 6:43 pm #

Joe, first you call me a plant, and then a sour grape…! At least you aren’t mixing your metaphors. That’s some kind of progress I guess. But Neilio- he’s happy I’m not posting, and then in a few sentences is urging me on, begging even, and proudly landing phantom punches, much to Joe’s sychophantic delight. Ah, seems like old times.

    • NEILIO September 24, 2012 at 5:43 pm #

Wow, that is truly delusional. You ARE posting!!!!!! You are not proving me wrong.

You WERE happy I wasn’t posting, further above as stated by YOU. And I’m delusional. Yep. You guys are too logical and rational for me, I can’t handle it. Must… return… to… world of delusion where I am safe from you brainiacs. You are like reverse-zombies. You spew and give forth your own huge brains to benefit society, and we lowly robot-like average society eat it up with gusto.

        • NEILIO September 26, 2012 at 4:20 pm #

          Say what you mean then.
The rest of your statement makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Reverse zombies? What is…..? That is….. I don’t know what that is.

“You spew and give forth your own huge brains to benefit society, and we lowly robot-like average society eat it up with gusto.” -RNH

That’s not how I see it at all. What the “lowly robot-like average ” people eat up is the fearmongering about catastrophic AGW. They don’t question it. They watch the nightly news and believe that they are getting unbiased reporting on political and environmental issues. Which is far from reality because what they are getting is slanted so far left that they start believing that conservative ideas are “radical”!! And “extreme”!!! The conventional view was, for a long time, that of the fearmongers. And if it wasn’t for sites like this one that would still be true. Thank God that is no longer the case.

          • Rob N. Hood September 27, 2012 at 2:26 pm #

Once again ou fail to take our own advice. I said what I meant- it was you my confused winger who contrdicted yourself. But don’t mind me, I am only using logic and reasoning in my criticism, not emotional reaction and pent-up hostility. Even Joe is following our lead on that- he also used to lament like a whipped dog about my undesired presence here – but now (below) he’s singing a different tune. But maybe that’s just me being insane again…

          • NEILIO September 27, 2012 at 5:40 pm #

Being a confused winger, I fail to see where I have contradicted myself. Would you be so kind as to illuminate my parapraxis?

Liberalism is like a religion, and it has zealots as fanatical as any other religion. But unlike most religions, liberalism has no moral code. The closest thing to a moral code in liberalism is “don’t get caught”. Ethics are situational, and totally up for interpretation. The truth is subjective, and the truth is merely what you want it to be. To the fanatic the leftist cause is so noble, so sacred that any lying or cheating for the leftist cause is justified.

When a liberal lies to the American public, he is in effect saying,

“You are too stupid to know what is good for you. I know what is good for you. I will say anything I need to say to convince you my way is the right way.”

If liberals were honest about their vision for this country few people would ever vote for them. Liberals must lie to us in order to impose the tyranny of liberalism upon us.

Neilio, you are correct. Keep the discourse going. Enjoy the reads. Cheers!

  30. Rob N. Hood September 28, 2012 at 9:31 am #

Neilio- you are actually describing neo-conservatism. And I refuse to continue the game of “I don’t know what you mean and so explain it to me better or further, so I can pretend I am being open-minded when I’m really not” per your faux humbleness above the above. I realize of course by now that you, in all likelihood, often truly don’t understand certain things, but my past attempts at didactic and dialecticism has ben to no avail. But sometimes I also believe you are playing dumb for some other reasons which I don’t want to try and figure out any more. So you can post things such as the above, which is backwards as I’ve said and glosses over your inability to look and see into that mirror, and better know thyself.

    • NEILIO September 28, 2012 at 3:43 pm #

Or….. I didn’t contradict myself, and you are just full of hot air.
Also, did you think I wrote that? I didn’t. I just copied and pasted it like you do. You had no way of knowing that it was pulled from an opinion piece did you? But it’s ok. Really! All that matters is that it was said, not who said it. Right?

      • Rob N. Hood September 28, 2012 at 3:55 pm #

I knew the above post was copied and pasted, fairly obvious, but I don’t care- as it doesn’t matter. The message and the point being presented is what matters. You sure seem to enjoy arguing with yourself. Anyway, you clearly contradicted yourself earier and I would not have brought it up otherwise. No matter, I guess you follow your won rules, the rogue that you are- in your own mind. You should stick to global warming/climate change because that is the one area where you have any kind of chance at being correct. Although it doesn get a bit boring and tedious after awhile, doesn’t it? Thus my forays, so to speak, into other areas that were/are peripherally pertinent.

        • NEILIO September 28, 2012 at 4:12 pm #

Yup. Hot air. You can’t point out where I contradicted myself because I didn’t. That’s why. Iv’e never known anyone that is as full of themselves as you are.

  31. Rob N. Hood September 28, 2012 at 9:34 am #

Liberalism is BTW the opposite of tyranny. What you are confusing it with is corporatism, which is the “new” and popular religion, of which the Right, and more recently the Left (since probably Clinton), have sold their souls to, to various degrees.

  32. Rob N. Hood September 29, 2012 at 8:02 am #

“I liked it better when you wern’t posting for a while. It was a nice break.”

“A question for you. If you had a choice between ridding the world of one of the following, which would it be?
    A: Islamic terrorists.
    B:Conservative/Republicans.”

That’s one example. But I will leave you alone again, you poor thing. You’d rather have an empty site. Plus I’ve exhausted myself here too. But remember, as I’ve said before, just because you may be right about AGW (and I’m not convinced you are, but that you might be- that is all) doesn’t mean all of your other wing-nut ideas and theories hold any water, cuz they most assuredly do not. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Which is good news for you cuz that means you may be right about one more thing! Yay for your side!

    • NEILIO September 29, 2012 at 5:12 pm #

Actually that’s two examples. And neither one is something I contradicted myself upon. The first one still remains as true as when I said it. The second one was asked because I believe you, and people like you, believe that Conservatives and Republicans are a greater threat to your ideaology than Islamic terrorists are. Maybe you should get a dictionary and look up contradict!

  33. Joe September 30, 2012 at 12:43 am #

Strongly suggest that you both vote on 11/6/2012. If not, your comments mean nothing.

  34. Rob N. Hood September 30, 2012 at 8:50 am #

Of course Neilio- you don’t agree on anything I post. It is impossible for you to do so. Per Joe- I thought my comments were so bad nothing could redeem me or them. Of course I’m voting this coming election. Thank you for that bit of off-handed validation, something Neilio is congenitally incapable of doing. Neil- are you so egocentric and hypocritical you cannot comprehend on the one hand telling me you “don’t care” and for me to stop commenting here, etc. and on the other hand then asking me a direct question; one that BTW is not related to AGW, which I find extremely amusing. Nevermind though- you are a supreme being with superior brain functioning of which is far beyond my capability of even commenting on, let alone anything else of use.

    • NEILIO September 30, 2012 at 11:03 am #

Whatever. Just because I don’t care doesn’t mean that I’m not going to have my fun. I only intended to give you a taste of your own medicine. How many times have you vowed to never return, only to return again and again? I wouldn’t lecture on being contradictory. Oh, and it’s simple why you are unbelievably undecided about AGW. You don’t spend any time on AGW at all. You spend most of your time attacking, and mocking the Right. How can you be decided about it? You haven’t given it a single thought.

  35. Rob N. Hood September 30, 2012 at 2:23 pm #

A taste of my own medicine? I’ve never said with two year old breath-holding blue-face ” I Don’t Care!” Etc. etc. etc. You is hilarious. Keep it real homie (or not).

  36. Rob N. Hood September 30, 2012 at 4:15 pm #

Oh, and have fun, you scamp you.

    • NEILIO September 30, 2012 at 5:51 pm #

For the years that you have been posting here I still don’t know why you are here. It is obviously not to debate global warming and related topics. So why exactly do you continue to post here? What is it that you want to say? I think it’s a bit creepy that all you do is insult me, and the rest of us, and post things that have a negative view of right leaning political ideaology. What is it that you hope to accomplish? Are you hoping to convert anyone here to your ideaolgy? What is it they say about doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result?

  37. Rob N. Hood October 1, 2012 at 8:06 am #

Uh, you talkin’ to me? Thought you were done with the like’s o’me. Is that a contradiction? Any why is it only when I stop posting or threaten that do you start behaving with some normal decorum and politeness? No need to try and respond to this, it’s mainly rhetorical. Your defensive and unenlightening responses are boring and predictable.

Here is another rhetorical for you… Is it “creepy” for prisoners of war (so to speak- remember this is rhetorical) to frustrate their captors every chance they have, or is it wrong for them to do so? Was it wrong for the anti-nazi Germans during WWII to plot against those in power, even though they were all brainwashed into thinking it was pure treason against their own beloved homeland of which they wanted to save from calamity and despair?

    • NEILIO October 1, 2012 at 4:50 pm #

I still don’t know what you want. And your rhetorical question is not analogous. Oh wait…. that’s right, wer’e all Nazis here on the right. That’s why it makes sense to you. Do you really feel like a prisoner? Sounds like something you should bring up in your next therapy session.

  38. Rob N. Hood October 1, 2012 at 5:25 pm #

Predictable and stale, as always. Do you not feel persecuted by your nemeses (as distinctly outlined by you, constantly, here)? Are you immune to such an average and normal human response that your impression of your presence here and statements are some kind of high caliber rhetorical devices? YOu are not trying to accompish something buy it? You are above all that are you?

To answer your question: What I wanted, above, was nothing- as I made perfectly clear, or so I thought. No response from you, was requested. And especially nothing predictable and stale, which you then felt somehow compelled to affirm, once again. At this stage of the game it doesn’t even amuse me anymore. It just fills me with ennui and contempt. You have quite a forum here to engage the other side of the American coin, but all you can muster is this…? Pointing that out has been my point here for some time, with virtually infinite opportunites for you to step up, in one form or another. That is your privilege. That is your challenge. And you continue to fail IMHO. Or are you here to maintain an echo chamber of like-minded automatons?

    • NEILIO October 1, 2012 at 6:49 pm #

Ha! You were filled with contempt from day 1. Why is this site such a threat to you? You claim that you are undecided about AGW, yet you show no curiosity whatsoever to find out anything about it. All you do is post idealogical hate mail. What you want is not nothing. What you want is to show us how superior (you think) you are to us. That is why you can’t leave. Because post after post after post has failed to show how superior (you think) you are. And you think that just one more time will show ’em. You’ll cleverly disguise insults and slights, either on a personal level, or on a generalised one, and think “tee hee that’ll show how great I am”. But it’s never worked. And it never will.

  39. Rob N. Hood October 2, 2012 at 6:45 am #

Ha! something something something you typed/admitted and I still call you a liar and a fruad! *for some odd reason other than I may possess ODD and/or severe passive aggressivness*

note- I barely read half of your little tirades for the reason I posted above. Now you can condemn me to hades for this bit of honest communication also…

second note- the older I’ve gotten the more I know how little I know and how more intelligent I wish I was. You are and always were free to “put me in my place” as you are so wont to do- and your rarely if ever succeeded. By pointing that out (or sometimes even not) you driving yourself into the rut that continues to this day. That is not a case of superiority as much as an intellectual challenge. You apparenlty refuse to understand the difference.

third note- I admit and have admitted many things here such as being a smart-ass, insulting at times, etc. You however remain shallow and callow.

    • Neilio October 3, 2012 at 7:35 pm #

I am such a sucker. I have tried to resist being pulled into these things but for one reason or another I get dragged back in. Again, and again. You are like quicksand. The more I struggle the deeper I sink. The only way to shut you up is to shut myself up. So toodles Robby boy.

  40. Rob N. Hood October 4, 2012 at 6:39 am #

Yep- you comin’ out on top as usual. I bow to the master.

  41. Joe October 5, 2012 at 10:17 pm #

No, Neilio finally woke up. Will you? If you wish to “Bow to the Master”suggest you find a mirror. It will most likely be to your liking. You can then debate within yourself can’t you boy? Good evening, good luck and good bye.

  42. NEILIO October 7, 2012 at 5:28 pm #

Boy did I call that right. I have figured out what RNH’s problem is. It’s ME!!!!! Here I thought it was this website, or Republicans in general, but it is a personal vendetta against me. I feel so special! (NOT).

  43. Rob N. Hood October 10, 2012 at 8:00 am #

It’s all about the ego maniacs indeed. You “call it right” every time Neil-io, what you ever doubted yourself??
