There you go again. Trying to change reality to suit your sensibilities- we are Progressive, you can call yourself whatever the hell you want. AND everyonje esle seems to understand that it is the rich and powerful “who” find ways around the rules and laws re: campaign finance. As in.. Duh…

A vast majority of the middle class dreams of a career in a large corporation because, in America, itâ€™s where the greatest social benefits are offered, healthcare, retirement packages, and vacations. These are all the benefits that the government provides its citizens in European democracies. As this trend continues, American becomes less and less a democracy and more a corporatist welfare state.

The broad chasm between what the paid pundits say and what they do reminds us of the Communist propaganda about how everyone must sacrifice today for a greater, more equitable tomorrow. A free democracy is mere myth when corporations overrule the democratic processes.

The U.S. Senate and Congress (and each new President) meekly kneel to the will of the corporations at the cost of the will of the people. And there are people like Paul, et al who will apparently crazily fight to the death to defend that status quo. Go figure human intelligence.

Yes, you should be happy- the large corporations are just another (big) step closer to ruling the world unfettered. You all think that’s a good thing. The past 30 years have proven you wrong, and yet you persist. In other words that is insanity. Oh well, I guess the USA (and the world) must fall further into the dark abyss before dolts like you all will get a clue. Will you ever is the biggest question of all. Maybe you will blame Liberals and Progressive no matter how much contrary evidence stares in the face. It has for 30 years and you still cheer lead for the policies that are killing the once great middle class of the USA. That great experiment for true democracy, forced from the fascist elite by the great FDR, mainly, is crumbling, year by year. Once it is gone completely (very soon now) you all will (maybe) wake up and say, Hey what the hell just happened?! And progressives have been trying to school you for years….

Dan it’s only one (GM) out of MANY that we the people could have taken over. You are hysterical and off the mark as usual. Plus Obama hasn’t interferred with GM at all like he could have. Soros is actually probably beside himself. His vast network of 527, C3 and C4 groups gave liberals the edge in political communications. Now that edge is blunted. The people (and yes, corporations) can speak for themselves. No more need for the non-profit proxies.

Propping up failed corporations isn’t “saving capitalism.” It’s the opposite! Government bailing out favored companies is an anathema to capitalism. The market spoke. GM should have been replaced by a better, leaner company, but then the unions might have lost some power â€“ can’t have that! Taxpayers to the rescue of UAW!
