Global Warming proponents are either ignorant of the truth or liars. No other options

Exploiting children and the emotional attachment that adults have to them certainly isn’t a diversion from an argument devoid of facts. Glad to see that the UN is appealing to the rational, logical, mature side of society. This is nothing more than a commercial intended to help sell one of the latest products in the “fear” line by the global elite.

I think this should win an Oscar… ha ha ha

    • George December 9, 2009 at 7:29 am #

You can give them Al Gore’s Oscar, he won’t be using it anymore.

Yeah….go ahead and save the world…….but do it by ending wars…….not by taking MY AMERICAN RIGHTS FROM ME!!
The U.S. is being blamed as a major factor.Funny how the world forgets how much the U.S. suppliees the world with food, and other necessities. This all takes energy.
On a funny note, the polar bear falling into the crack made me laugh!!! The earth is cooling down you dopes!!!

Eerily reminiscent of the Children’s Crusade (http://www.historyguide.org/ancient/children.html), complete with shameless manipulation of impressionable children in a futile and foolish quest to “save the world.”

  6. Paul Wenum December 8, 2009 at 9:34 pm #

Using our youth to make a point that has not been validated is beyond comprehension. Is this what our world is coming to? Must have been Al Gore’s film crew from his BS movie. The “Inconvenient Untruth.” Bet they show this in every grade school along with Obama paper and pens. At least they carried his logo last time I checked. Now I know why I’m not a liberal. This confirms. Play on emotions with no facts behind it using children.

  7. Bill December 8, 2009 at 9:41 pm #

Creating childrens nightmares by scaring kids through feeding this sort of trash to them … There is no AGW/Climate Change … there never will be.
If you want to save the world … disband the UN and stop all of the Thugs and Despots from appearing legitimate … it is all a money and power grab. The intent is not to give those with less more … but to make everyone equally miserable, while those in power continue to live in luxury. Remember how wonderfully equitable the former soviet union was …
If the US is the problem … stop crying to America when there is a natural disaster …. when there is a drought and millions are starving … when one tyrant invades another and starts a war …
No one offered to pay America back for its investment and sacrafices liberating the world in WW1 or WW2 …
The nightmare is not that the world is changing … but the travesty of the UN continues to try and justify it’s existance and pretend to be a meaningful entity …

Good for the egos of those attending…. believing that they will save they world.

    Shame on IPCC and followers

  10. Terry Parsons December 9, 2009 at 9:28 am #

How can anyone support the UN after seeing this pathetic scare clip? Remember folks, we have a President that supports this crap and wants us to be ruled by the UN.
If he isn’t a socialist or communist I don’t know what it takes to be one! ……. distribute the wealth, appoint a czar who has admitted he’s a communist. I can’t believe what ‘s happening to this country! The lies about global warming, etc.

It’s true that the e-mails reveal CRU climate scientists were dismissive of skeptics, often in harsh terms, but that’s not unusual for scientists. Science is a rough arena, as anyone who has ever survived a doctoral examination knows, and scientists aren’t shy about attacking ideas they believe are wrong — especially in private communication. Still, Jones et al. could have been more open and accepting of their critics, and if it turns out that e-mails were deleted in response to the Freedom of Information request for data, heads should roll. (Jones maintains that no e-mails or documents were deleted.)

Ultimately, though, we need to place Climategate/Swifthack in its proper context: amidst a decades-long effort by the fossil-fuel industry and other climate skeptics to undercut global-warming research — often by means that are far more nefarious than anything that appears in the CRU e-mails. George W. Bush’s Administration attempted to censor NASA climatologist James Hansen, while the fossil-fuel industry group the Global Climate Coalition ignored its own scientists as it spread doubt about man-made global warming. That list of wrongdoing goes on. One of the main skeptic groups promoting the e-mail controversy, the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change, was recently revealed to have links to the energy company Exxon-Mobil, which has long funded climate-change deniers. “This is being used to confuse the public,” says blogger James Hoggan, whose new book Climate Cover-Up details Exxon-Mobil’s campaign.

Rob goes back to Bush bashing. You remind me of “Groundhog Days.” It is always the same. Typical when you have nothing to refute the argument other than baffle them with your BS..

    • Lance December 11, 2009 at 9:25 am #

You remind me of a mosquito. Just wont shut the f*** up and leave rob alone. Ever hear of freedom of speech?

  13. Rob N. Hood December 10, 2009 at 9:16 am #

It was just a valid example, Paul. Legitimate and on topic. You want me to Obama bash for awhile? I could do that too, would that make you happy? Get some sleep, or another hobby besides this one.

  14. paul wenum December 10, 2009 at 11:02 pm #

Why are the polls at 44% for Bush V Obama 1t 50? Is there a problem here?

  15. cass December 11, 2009 at 2:05 am #

This is shameful but not surprising, the population get fed this rubbish and regretfully there are plenty who will buy into it.

  16. Rob N. Hood December 11, 2009 at 11:28 am #

Yes, the polls are that way because Obama sucks, that’s what’s wrong (being serious)! He’s one of “them” apparently, and not doing much if anything to help the middle class of this country which is why we Liberals voted for him. And he/they fooled many of us for the last time too. That is (unless he makes a 180 degree change in the next 3 years), why many Dems, myself included, will not vote for the corporate Dem/Repub crooks any more. And you, “Red-State” sheeple will run to the polls and vote in your favorite fascists and will WIN big. That will sovle everything, eh? Then we will have another GW/Reagan clone who will (Palin?!) continue the rip off of the middle class, and leave another big mess/deficit for a Dem to have to clean up somehow, like Clinton did, or not like Obama is doing so far- he’s feeding the elite, just like the Repubs always did. Time to wake up folks. We need a mulit-party instant run-off system, NOT bought and paid for by the wealthy elite.

(How conveniently you guys forget how low GW’s polls were- must be nice in your own private la la land)

  17. paul wenum December 11, 2009 at 9:21 pm #

No, we, the people will vote our conscience in 2010/12 and before we vote we will think hard about who we will vote for for the first time since the Kennedy Nixon TV debate that defined all future elections. In today’s world, it is not about the values, leadership, qualities, wisdom experience, it is all about looks, sound bites, not saying what you mean and telling everyone what they want to hear and then doing likewise when elected. Those days I hope are finally over. If a viable third party candidate should appear, conservatives may well follow. It all comes down to who, with values we all cherish has the internal fortitude to run. Any good candidates available? Enough pontificating.

  19. Rob N. Hood December 14, 2009 at 10:48 am #

OMG- you actually think Nixon was a more legitimate President than Kennedy? Even after what happened to paranoid old racist Nixon after you conservatoids voted for him again and again until he finally won it? He shit all over everyone in America- including you. You are sick, you need help.

  20. paul wenum December 14, 2009 at 11:02 pm #

Typical left wing Alinski liberal. You don’t read other than the script given you. All I said, IF you read, which I doubt, is that the Media has changed our system as to how officials are elected. Who gives you your talking points? Curious I am.

  21. Rob N. Hood December 15, 2009 at 9:16 am #

It’s a sore spot for me- because Kennedy was obviously trying to do some things the power elite just would not allow. That is- dismantle the Federal Reserve and end the war in Vietnam, he was even foolish/brave enough to try and go up against the CIA. He did these things for the benefit of the People not the Elite. They sent him, and all of us, a very powerful message that horrible day in Dallas. To some extent, maybe a great extent, the America we all think of and long for died that day as well. It, and we, have never recovered, and I’m afraid the America I learned about in grade school will never exist again. The Fed reigns supreme, it enslaves us all actually. JFK, and others, knew that then and wanted to free us from it.

  22. Paul Wenum December 15, 2009 at 9:31 pm #

Rob, If you look at his policies, and I mean LOOK, JFK was a “repub” you call them now. Lower taxes etc. My mother-in-law still has a picture of him in her living room. My father voted for him!

    • Dan McGrath December 16, 2009 at 9:26 am #

Well, Kennedy was no Barry Goldwater, but compared to the Democrats of today, he was very conservative.
