I have a few good reasons, anybody who quotes Government scientists or the totally discredited IPCC research, is missing the point.

Scientific research is a process not a destination, ergo one can not simply take a bit of 10 year old research and ignore current findings of new research.

No sane person can credit Al Gore’s attempt at scaring people seriously, the basic science is not there and the extrapolations made are completely wrong, and can be scientifically shown to be wrong, even using IPCC old and new climate science reports.

This has also been re-enforced by the British courts who declared the film to be unscientific, and most of Mr. Gore’s claims and assertions to be untrue.

That should dispense with the self serving Mr. Gore. – case closed.

Climate change proponents behave like all zealots – you either agree with ALL their claims or you are labeled as a skeptic.

Climate change is a natural phenomena, at this stage we are not sure if it will get hotter or colder ( yep that is true ). The claim that man made carbon is the guilty party has no science to support it, in scientific research shows that exactly the oppsoite is true.

This leads us to a simple position in a quest for clarity – follow the money – who is making it now and why – who wants to make even more tomorrow and into the future.

Anybody who wants to follow the science has a problem – On the one hand we have a stream of new research and on the other we have the zealots who will stick to their beliefs despite any real scientific research.

In addition to that I would like to point to a previous group who behaved in exactly the same way as today’s climate zealots.

Please read up on Eugenics – you might ask what this has to do with anything, well here we had a bunch of people who believed that some people deserved to live and others did not.

The supporters included lots of prominent people, politicians, bankers, financiers, universities and more.

This was an international movement supported by almost every country in the world.

The looked down on all who did not agree and called them heritics, unbelievers, skeptics and much more.

Legislation was enacted and in California alone some 65,000 people were sterilized under these laws.

Then our good friend Adolf Hitler decided that he would use these same beliefs and apply it a bit better than the other countries. and we know what happened then.

At Nuremberg, the Nazi officials pointed out that they were simply implementing the same “science” put forward by the West.

If you are brave, read this and then maybe the likes of rob can put his head back in the sand.

Your response that all school children know that glaciers grow and shrink is a perfect example of your reasoning process. Simplistic and attached to an attack. You even throw in there that is it scientific fact. You certainly like to cherry-pick your scientific “facts.” Funny how you ignore or attack other “facts” blithely. As all ( I won’t say school chidren, because what I am about to add is something most people don’t understand until high school or beyond that) adults know, or should know, that most of science is not exact. Some of it is, of course, otherwise we wouldn’t be able to planes, or even drive cars. But some is not exact. However, a majority of scientists believe that there is something wrong with “climate change” and that certain gases are to blame and that many if not most of the gases are connected to human activity. That is all they are saying basically. A reasonable person would not dismiss this majority as definitely as deniers do.
