Both sides of the the climate change issue are being sensationalist and exxaggerating the real data. It is scientific fact that the climate is changing AND that humans have at least in some way contributed, however, the real affect is not nearly as bad as Greenpeace claims it will be. Furthermore, there is a natural component to climate change, but it is not the only factor. Deforestation and air pollution have contributed. The reality is most likely in the middle. And anyway, no matter what the cause is, global climate change IS a problem that should be dealt with. There is too much at stake for precautions not to be taken. We MUST protect against biodiversity and habitat losses due to climate change if we want to enjoy Earth in the future. Its time everyone took some personal responsibility and instead of whining about socialism and "uneducated masses", made strides to do what they can on their own. Its not the government's job to tell us exactly how to live or to tell us if something is bad. Grow up and take matters into your own hands. Stop complaining about how terrible everyone else is, and start focusing on how you can do some real good for everyone around you. Some questions for you to ponder: Would it hurt you to cut down on the amount of gas you use? It would definately save you money and devreased air pollution is always a good thing. Would it ruin your life to pay a few dollars more in taxes if it leads to new technologies like hydrogen and cleaner nuclear power? Would it kill you to conserve paper and wood products in order to curtail the devastating amount of deforestation going on in Washington state and South America? Is it so imperative to your life to be wasteful that you can do nothing to help make Earth a better place to live?
